Volunteer or Intern with RRENEW

RRENEW and the Henry St. Volunteer House are often looking for new interns and volunteers. We coordinate with other organizations, primarily the Southern Appalachian Mountain Stewards, to place interns according to their interest and abilities.

We are looking for long term (6 months to 2 years) interns, mid-term (3-6 months) and shorter term (1 – 3 month) interns to work on the ongoing campaigns and planned campaigns of the collective. You can check out the current and planned campaign work, and apply to intern here.

How does interning work?

We coordinate Intern applications directly through contact at rrenew.collective@gmail.com and by application here, or directly with SAMS

Unless otherwise indicated on a specific intern description, intern positions are, for now, unpaid. We provide free room and board for interns, however, and we work with students and universities to get class credit for internships.

While interning, volunteers are expected to work at least 20 hours a week on projects that advance the collective mission. Interns are also expected to help maintain a clean and welcoming environment within the Volunteer House.

If you are interested in an internship, or have any questions, please contact us at rrenew.collective@gmail.com. You can also fill out an application here.
